Acrylic edge finishes & diamond tooling

Choose the edge, match the cutter. Select high gloss, gloss, translucent, satin or glue-ready. See the exact Euracryl ES DIA Replace tooling that produces it.

What it looks like

A transparent, mirror-clear edge with no tool marks and no flame-polish distortion or crazing.

Where it's used

Displays, awards, retail fixtures, anything the customer looks straight into.

Tooling & setup

Monocrystalline diamond finishers at a 0.1 mm finishing pass. The ES chart lists three high-gloss finishers matched to different material groups.

Shop notes

ND-S covers cast PMMA, PC, SAN, PP, PVC, POM and PE. NX-S adds coated/printed and mineral materials. NV-S is the choice for extruded and colored PMMA, paper-mixed, PS, POM and PE.

ES DIA Replace

One head, replaceable diamond inserts

The ES system runs 16,000 RPM with indexable diamond inserts in three grades — carbide standard, polycrystalline super finish and monocrystalline maximum finish. The chart separates the work into four jobs: finish, precut, face-mill, or leave the edge bond-ready.

Why diamond tool geometry matters

On an acrylic edge polisher the diamond tools do two jobs: milling cutters take the saw marks off, and finishing cutters set the final surface. The cutter’s geometry, sharpness and runout decide whether a PMMA edge comes out water-clear or streaked. That’s why the same machine can produce high gloss, satin or a glue-ready surface just by changing tooling.

High gloss, satin or glue surface?

High gloss and gloss edges are for visible, transparent parts. Satin and translucent edges hide minor marks and suit diffused or frosted designs. A gluing surface is deliberately flat and fine-matte, so solvent and UV adhesives bond without bubbles. The finish you actually get also depends on material, thickness, feed rate and depth — we test it on your material before you commit.

Tooling compatibility

Euracryl ES DIA Replace heads and cutters fit Kuper Euracryl machines and many other brands. Tell us your machine and we’ll confirm the right tool. When edges start to dull, send tools for diamond tool resharpening, or compare acrylic edge polishing machines.
